May 2015 – Unmanned Aerial Systems (Cansel)

This webinar focuses on the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles as a complementary method in geospatial data collection and surveying. The presentation focuses not on one UAV system in particular, but rather the capabilities of this growing technology. Furthermore, Federal regulations currently in place pertaining to the use of UAV’s are discussed, and examples of data processed using UAS tools are observed.

The webinar was presented by Ryan Griffin. Ryan has been a Technical Sales Representative with Cansel Survey Equipment since 2012. His background is largely focused in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data collection methods. Ryan is a UAS Project Coordinator and one of three Certified Instructors with Cansel, and completed his Private Pilot License outside the organization.
