Product Description

This presentation will concentrate on the early surveys done mainly in Western Canada and specifically targeting those surveys involving reserves. It will begin with a general overview of the places I go to research or find information out about a specific surveying issue. This will be followed by three major examples of research conducted on specific Indian reserves in the province of Alberta. These examples will highlight sources used to find information on or about the surveys performed plus they will point out some key considerations for anyone researching survey information regarding not only issues in a reserve or along the common boundary of the reserve with a province. The methods and resources used in the examples can also be used for any research into land survey history.

Presented live on Fri, Jun 11, 2021 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EDT by: Ed Titanich, CST, Lead Geomatics Specialist.
