The French surveyors’ portal GeoFoncier
Launched in July 2010, the GeoFoncier portal is supported by the Ordre des Géomètres-Experts. It is presented as the single window for geographic information in France. It is the first National Infrastructure of Spatial Data (IDS) set up by a liberal profession in France.
The GeoFoncier portal makes it possible to consult the database of all the land interventions carried out by surveyors since 1997. GeoFoncier offers for example the possibility of knowing whether a land has been the subject of a boundary by a géomètre-expert.
Thanks to numerous partnerships with various public players, the GeoFoncier portal allows to co-visualize a large number of large-scale geographical data such as aerial photographs, parcel plans or environmental protection zoning.
In constant evolution, the GeoFoncier portal is also the support of the Référentiel Foncier Unifié (RFU) launched in 2010 whose aim is to centralize all the land limits established by surveyors-experts.
