Introduction

• The Canadian Geodetic Vertical Datum of 2013 (CGVD2013) was formally adopted as a new modern vertical datum replacing CGVD28 in 2015 (Canada Gazette).
• Provinces and municipalities have not all adopted and implemented CGVD2013.
• The Canadian Geodetic Survey (CGS), the U.S. National Geodetic Survey (NGS), and Mexico’s Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI) are collaborating to develop the North American-Pacific Geopotential Datum of 2022 (NAPGD2022).
• NAPGD2022 will be released along with the North American Terrestrial Reference Frame of 2022 (NATRF2022) in 2025
