Product Description

This webinar was presented on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020.

The presentation will discuss how the assets from the National Elevation Strategy (LiDAR and High-Resolution Digital Elevation Models (HRDEMs)) are leveraged to create value-added products. We\’ll take a closer look at results from automatic hydro-feature extraction, looking specifically at processes used for the extraction of water regions and hydro-enforcing DEMs. From there, we will provide a brief overview on the architecture of the data cube, discuss how hydro-enforced DEMs are used to create derivatives, such as the Height Above Nearest Drainage (HAND) models and discuss how these products are used to support situational awareness during floods, and could help with flood risk assessment.
